Sealant strips, primarily made from rubber, are widely used in industries like construction and automotive, relying on elastic contact pressure for sealing. Butyl reclaimed rubber, with its excellent resistance to gas permeability, heat, corrosion, and aging, can significantly reduce production costs.

It is applied in three main ways: used alone as a substitute for virgin rubber; blended with butyl rubber to improve processability and reduce costs, with the ratio determined by performance needs; or combined with EPDM rubber to enhance aging resistance and service life by leveraging EPDM's weatherability. It can also be blended with other rubbers for further optimization.
