Butyl rubber waterproofing membrane is a synthetic polymer waterproof sheet material. It is produced using a fully automated domestic production line through processes such as screw extrusion, glue application, and film lamination, with butyl rubber as the primary material supplemented by various additives. Aluminum foil-surfaced butyl rubber cold self-adhesive waterproofing membrane (single-sided butyl tape) utilizes pressure-sensitive adhesive made primarily from butyl rubber. This adhesive is extruded into sheets of varying thicknesses. The sheet features a reinforced metal aluminum foil on the upper surface and a removable protective release film on the lower surface. It is a non-asphalt based polymer waterproofing membrane that integrates waterproofing, corrosion resistance, sealing, thermal insulation, and sound absorption.
This product can be applied on any dry and solid substrate. It is suitable for waterproofing, anti-seepage, and damp-proofing applications in industrial and civil buildings under various climatic conditions. Applications include roofs, underground structures, bathrooms, subway projects, bridges and culverts, and water conservancy projects. It is also used for waterproofing color steel tiles/plates and for maintenance projects on various existing roofs.
