With the multi-functional upgrading of modern industries, enterprises are increasingly demanding high-efficiency production equipment. As a technology-intensive device, the hot melt coater has achieved a sound development trend in the market. Compared with traditional foam coaters, it boasts core advantages of high-efficiency coating and rapid curing, providing stable production capacity support for large-scale production. How to operate it scientifically to give full play to equipment performance has become a key factor for enterprises to improve production quality.
1. Precisely Control Coating Amount
Insufficient coating amount will directly reduce the adhesion of substrates and affect the lamination effect. Optimization methods are as follows:
Select anilox rollers with appropriate cell depth to increase the glue carrying capacity per unit area;
Adjust the pressure of the rubber pressure roller or reduce the contact pressure between the doctor blade and the anilox roller to increase the thickness of the glue film on the substrate surface;
For low surface energy substrates such as plastic films, perform corona treatment before coating to improve surface roughness and polarity, enhancing the adsorption capacity of the adhesive.
2. Scientifically Set Drying Temperature
Drying temperature is a core parameter affecting the bonding strength of composite films and must be strictly controlled:
Excessively high temperature will cause carbonization of the adhesive surface layer, damaging its bonding performance;
Excessively low temperature will result in incomplete curing of the adhesive, which not only leads to insufficient lamination strength but may also cause bubbles in the later stage, affecting product stability.
